Our new 2012 Licenses will be available on Thursday evening, from 19h00. NEW MEMBER REGISTRATIONS ARE GOING GREAT........ the rest are taking it real easy. We have your license numbers, come register with ESTELLE on Thursday evening and get yours. ESTELLE WILL be available for registrations and clothing from18h00 till the end of FEBRUARY. They she too would like to put in some serious training and will then only be available from 19h00, so if you want do do it early do it NOW in FEBRUARY – or you will have to wait in MARCH !!!

2012 REGISTRATIONS:

-    New registrations and membership applications are being taken. Our new 2012 Licenses will be available on Thursday evening, from 19h00.   CLUB MEMBERSHIP – 2012 We have sent most members a Pro-Forma invoice for the club for THIS YEARS membership application and fees. The cycling license can be purchased on-line at CSA  directly once you are a member of RandMark.  We felt to make it  easier we will send you your forms,  you just correct anything – see where you want to join, payment can then be make directly into the bank or to us on a Thursday evening. These forms must be printed out, signed and originals brought to us when you collect your running license numbers.   FORMS NEED TO BE SIGNED AND RETURNED EVEN IF A BANK PAYMENT IS MADE – WE NEED THE ORIGINAL SIGNED DOCUMENT BACK FROM EACH MEMBER !!   If you haven’t received the NEW forms and would like them, drop me an e-mail and I will forward these to you !!  Please let us know if you need forms

Gavin da Silva took part at the NWN master track and field championship this week-end in
Rustenburg, Olympia Par. He took 1st overall in the 800 m placing him first in the sub-vetran age group 30-34 ina time of 2:07.
He was also 4th overall in the 400 m Placing him 1st in the sub-vetran group in a time of 55 seconds.. Both these times are PB’s for the season.
ITS so great to hear about your achievements and improved times. Participating at these events in his RANDMARK vest, again what
a winner for RANDMARK – for us as a club, and we are very very proud of your performance. Will see to join you at the next one for track walking.
The next event is ................ 10th March in Pretoria GN.

Swimming .......... YES you got it right swimming, two of us went down to participate in the MidMar Mile. Unfortunately no GOLD medals,
but we did Finish, in very difficult conditions. Sonja Holl and myself participated on Sunday in Event no. 5 – both completing our distances.
Wont mention times cause they a little slow, but we pretty happy with having completed the event.

    A STORY especially from ANDRE BAM

 Ek het  die afgelope vakansie ‘n interresante episode beleef:  Nadat ons terug was by die huis,  het my tuinhulp van baie jare ook toe so twee weke se verlof gekry.  Dit het natuurlik beteken dat ekself weer agter die grassnyer moes inskuif.  Die Staterdag-oggend was ek in my oudste PT-broek en T-shirt besig om die gras op die sypaadjie voor ons huis te sny en ek was haastig en wou die job ordentlike en gou afgehandel kry.  Ek was nie lus om vir n nuwe voornemende tuinhulp te verduidelik hoe die gras gesny moes word nie.  Maar soos die maar altyd gaan:  As jy niemand nodig het nit, dan daag al die hulp in de werld op. Elkeen wil weet of hy nie ‘n piece-job vir die dag kan kry nie.  Toe die vierde een opddag en hande in die sakke staan en vra of hy' ‘n piece-job kan kry,  toe verloop die gesprek omtrent soos volg:     Hy:  Ek ken hom die sny van die gran,  ek soek die job     Ek:  Sorry man, ek bly nie hier nie,  ek werk net vir die mense wat hier binne bly.  Hy:     Hau, die mense hulle employ n whitey by die tuin. Ek:     Ja, en hulle gee nie eers kos by lunchtime nie.      Einde van die store was,  dat hy sy pakkie Kent sigarette uithaal,  en vir my een aanbied. Ek vat toe een,  en hy steek hom vir my aan  .  Ek vat so drie trekke, nip die outjie,  en sit die stompie agter my oor.    So met die wegstap was sy laaste woorde:  “Die ANC het alles kom opf...k” !!
